My worst habits.

Well I gave up smoking, I don't drink all that often & I do NOT do drugs.
What in the hell is left? Well, I'm a nail biter. I will ruin a good manicure in a few days.
I am also a person who constantly checks my social media during the day (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook). Some would say a touch OCD. *I leave at the same minute every day, everything has a place, my shampoo faces the same direction every day. I tend to notice when things are not in order.

But I don't smoke anymore, or drink alone & this girl can pass a drug test with flying colors--that ish has to count for something.

MEDICINE. I have pills: Advil , birth control, allergy medicine, 2 bottles (WHY?) of pamprin. I also have nasal spray. Things That My Pet Hates (Oh, Owen)

Owen the wonderdog is a happy -go-lucky dog. He loves a good nap, snuggle & putting his snout of the window.
Now let's talk about what he hates.

1. squirrels. They drive him bonkers
2. Speeding cars. Owen will back at you if you go over 25mph down our street.
3. Peanut Butter- he is allergic
4. bicycles, skateboards, strollers
5. disorder- Owen is OCD
6. Fireworks. For some reason thunderstorms don't bug him, but fireworks scare him a lot.
7. dogs he does not know

I just want my dog to be happy. so I try to keep him away from things he hates.

I'm still working on the 31-day blog challenge. I am actually leaving town this afternoon & will not be home until late, so I wanted to get this blog party started!

Good morning. It's a happy Saturday. I have already made my famous spinach dip & cleaned my kitchen. I'm taking a bit of a break from the cleaning to write a bit.

Today's challenge: My 5 Senses. What I am feeling right now.

1. Sight: Currently I am looking at my dog sunning himself in the back yard. It's totally adorable.
2. Touch: I am touching my keyboard, duh.
3. Taste: hot black coffee.
4. Smell: soap. lemon dish soap to be exact. My hands smell amazing
5. Hearing: The Band Perry- All Your Life & the dishwasher.

Not in order, but just want I want to hear all the time.

What are you afraid of.

What am I afraid of. I could go deep, I could go shallow. But really this is day 4 of my blog, so you friends & creepers alike can't have all of my deep dark secrets.

Let's dip our toes into the shallow end.

First & foremost I am afraid of chickens, turkeys, emu, peacocks, ostrich and any other large semi-flightless birds. Something about them getting a good running half fly at me, while at the same time clawing my eyes out & pulling out my hair with their beaks. Some birds can go F themselves.

Other things that scare me:

Men who drive Minivans. Sorry dude, you are a grown adult, you have a litter of kids and you need a minivan to get to & from soccer. I'm sorry you think it stripped you of your man card, but cutting me off in traffic won't get you there any faster.

18-21 year olds who clearly know everything there is to know about everything there is to know (I totally did at that age, just ask my parents).

Dogs who are not on a leash. Leash your dog!! I don't care if your dog is the nicest standard poodle this side of NY, keep it the F away from my mutt.

Spiders.

Ohio State Fans. Really, Ohio in general.

1. I’m not a natural blonde.
2. I love singing songs & usually make up songs about what I am doing. *Songs about cleaning or my dog or what Keith is doing right at that moment are chart toppers.
3. I successfully lived alone for 1.5 years and lived to tell the story. (living alone rules!)
4. I graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Broadcast Cinematic Arts, a minor in Advertising & a concentration in Promotions.
5. I adopted a skittish, abused dog named Owen on May 17, 2009. Today he lives the life of a king & Owen is the light of my life.
6. I talk to my mother at least 3x a day on a week day, double on a weekend.
7. I am getting married on October 6th, 2012 to my best friend-Keith.

A Real Gem of an intro.

Hi. Welcome to my blog. My name is Kattee & I am am a 30 something engaged female living in Ypsilanti, Michigan. I'm totally into crafting, pyrex, photos, vintage everything, old funky furniture, thrifting, my dog & of course, my best friend - Keith. I never pictured myself in Ypsilanti, MI- hell a few years ago I couldn't even spell Ypsilanti, but it has been very kind to me & my family (My man, my dog, and me). I am an office manager at a desk job. I deal with sales, customer service. Every once & a while I get a good laugh & or a hug from a customer. My boss is amazing (*I didn't know they made bosses so cool). Keith & I are getting married in 75 days. That seems both entirely too close & totally to far. We are getting married in my parents church. Our wedding colors are purple & orange. Our honeymoon location is Mexico. I figured with this new chapter in my life, I would start a new blog. I've never been happier & really can't thank everyone enough who has helped me get here. I promise this blog will be a real Gem.
